WAAAAY TOO LONG since my last post

Aloha everyone!!
As most of you know, Willie and I have moved to Oahu...the place I have dreamed of moving to my whole life. We've lived here for a couple of months now, but we just got internet, so I will be uploading some pictures soon. We've been super busy. Willie's a full time student at BYU-H and works at the Polynesian Cultural Center part time. I'm working full time on the other side of the island managing the Shiseido counter at Macy's (I was lucky enough to transfer with the same job and benefits.) We feel sooo blessed, and thank the Lord everyday for allowing us to fulfiill our dreams. Mahalo for all of your love and support!

Bowling Night

Last night Willie and I went on a double date Bowling with our friends Melissa and Brooks. We had so much fun. We didn't leave until almost 9:00 which for us (being responsible married people now) is realllly late to be leaving our house. Our usual bedtime is 10:00, so we decided to be adventurous last night and stay out late. ;) I sure am glad that we did!

I am a total dork, and I look fat in these pants since they are too big now.

Poor Willie fell while he was trying to bowl like a pro. It was hard not to laugh since I knew that it was probably a little embarrasing for him....but I couldnt help it. And I was even lucky enough to catch it on camera!

Bowling shoes are sexy!!

So...here are the final scores. I did sooooo well. A whopping 54! Now, that takes talent! I think that I am still having a hard time trying to figure out the correct footing. Jesse & Devon tried teaching me out in Idaho, but I still look like an idiot. I almost fell a few times. Willie didnt do too bad either. We probably wont go for a while because it hut his back pretty bad. Overall, even as bad as we all played....We all had a blast!

The Many Hairstyles of Billie

I am sure that you all know that my husband is a HUGE ham! BUt I just had to take pictures of one of his daily routines. Every morning, Willie wakes up and gets in the shower....and I start getting ready after I have taken my shower. And EVERY morning, when he washes his hair, he decides to do this. He loves playing with his hair and making new hairstyles. Sometimes I swear that I am married to a little 4 year old. I dont mind though, he is just too darn cute!

This is probably my favorite! Not!!

EASTER!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. On saturday, we had a fun filled day with my parents at their house. We had the Christensen side over for a lunch Bar-B-Q on Mom and Dad's newly completed Bar-B-Q. The burgers were delicious! We then had an Easter egg hunt with all of the little kiddos. We found out that there were money filled eggs, andso Willie and I were "pushed" into the egg hunt. I was lucky enough to find the $10 egg! As a newlywed, you can buy a lot of groceries with that money. ;)
My dad then heated up the pool to a VERY comfortable 85 degrees. We all jumped in and had a BLAST! We listened to Jack Johnson (Grandma Christensen's new favorite singer) on the outside speakers while we swam. I felt like I was on a great vacation in a tropical place. It was so much fun to spend time with the fam. Later on that night, the Crosby side came over to swim too! My dad lit the tiki torches, and we had the spa going nice and warm. It was so much fun! We probably had a total of 25 people in the pool and spa. It's always crazy when the family is over, but that is what makes it so much fun!
On Easter Sunday, Willie and I went to church and had a blast with our little nursery kids. We LOVE being in nursery! We then went to his parents house for dinner, where Sutton (Willie's mom) made a scrumptulescent dinner...as always. Unfortunately, we couldnt find the camera that day, so we dont have any pictures. It was so nice to be with them on Easter.
Over all, we had an amazing Easter weekend. It was full of fun, friends and love. That is what this holiday is really about. Christ's love for us. Which is why he made the ultimate sacrifice.

Aloha Polynesia!

I am sooo proud of myself. I have finally done something that I have been wanting to do for the Longest time now. Yep...you guessed it. I have started taking up Polynesian Dancing again! I found a halau in Sacramento called Aloha Polynesia that I have just fallen in love with. They are verrrrry good, and very authentic. I have danced for many years, but did not know a lot of the language and culture. That will not be the case with this halau. They teach the dances of all of the polynesian islands, the language, the culture, and how to actually make the costumes (leis, skirts, and everything!) I know that I am probably rambling on, but this is something that I have always been very passionate about.( Just take a look at my house, and you will get a sense of it) I love the aloha (spirit) of Hawaii. And since I cant move there yet, this will help to feel that aloha.

Gyros Eating Contest

Two weeks ago, Willie entered a Gyros eating contest at one of our favorite places to eat, Pita Pita. Here are the contestants...we were pretty scared. ;) (the big guy in the gray told us that he gets kicked out of all you can eat places all of the time)

And here they are during the contest. They had to see who could eat the most Gyros in 15 minutes. And in case you have never had a gyros...they are lamb meat with garlic yogurt, tomatoe, and onion wrapped up in a pita. And I swear that they are almost a pound of meat each! They were all given 5 gyros (by the way...I am a BIG eater, and I have a hard time finishing just one to myself.) No one was able to finsh alll five, but one came close. Guess who it was?...

Willie! He won first place...even against all of those big guys!He won a free iPod nano. Here is the owner, andone of Willie's clients, Joe. He is such a nice guy. Now, this is why we love Pita Pita.

Fun at the Beach

A couple of weekends ago, Wille, me, my friend Mellisa, and her daughter, Hailey. We had so much fun going to the beach. It has been WAY too long since we have gone. We played in Golden Gate park, ate Burgers at a Thai restaurant (funny huh?...we couldnt find any restaurants close by and we were really hungry.)

The weather was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and we got there just before sunset. I could not have asked for a more beautiful day at the beach.

Isnt she the cutest little girl??
